Wow, I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiments expressed in your poem. It is indeed easy to love when all is well, the true test is when there are trying times. Love is so beautiful that nothing else should matter, least of all, the opinion of those who do not understand. Above all, true love is being selfless and setting your love free, not clinging to it and oppressing it.

…and thus like alice walker once said, I have learned not to worry about love; but to honor its coming with all my heart.

Rhymes are interesting, and had mixed feelings about the couplets from the rulebook of love, which i wish it had been titled! Wondered also, what if barring the first few (3) couplets, you strung all the first lines of all the couplets together, and stopped at “If you believe this love is yours then reach out and take it” .. it would leave the reader with a different sort of urgency to want to pull out that heart stuck in his throat somewhere. giving him some lift than closure, that couplets errr, demand. just mi thoughts! supercool blog on the whole!
